But is it as much fun to drive?

I tend to hoard technology. But I am having a hard time justifying a dedicated GPS with a cell phone being more useful since the maps are up to date when you select a path.

Does anyone find the dedicated GPS unit a better value?

I purchased a Schuberth C3 Pro in satin black. The local BMW dealer has discontinued selling Schuberth so I got it for $300, otherwise I would of gone with a HJC modular.
