VSS on Ryker 600

#1 Post by RykerRider_2 » Thu Feb 06, 2020 10:57 am

I bought my Ryker 600 on February 14 2019. I have owned numerous bikes over the past 20 yrs and this was by far my favorite. Unfortunately around mid summer some things started giving me issues and one of those was my VSS intervening in left hand curves even when I was traveling at a very slow and safe speed. The problem by late summer was constant in almost all left hand curves but never in right hand curves. So here I sit on February 6 2020 and my bike has been to 2 different dealers and been out of my possession for almost 12 weeks and it’s still not fixed. Needless to say I’m pissed and not happy with the dealerships or BRP. I’d suggest if you haven’t already purchased a ryker DON’T!!!!

That's stealership issues , not BRP
It's no reason to talk trash about BRP

BRP techs have been working with the dealership for 8 weeks now and still no solution so YES it is a BRP problem as well!

I’ve looked in to the lemon law and yes, it seems that may be an option. I just keep holding out hope that they will finally find the problem and get it right. My patience is growing very thin though.

I bought the Ryker Rally this last fall. I put 560 miles on it before parking it for just over a month. I went out to take it for a ride today and got a VSS code and it will not start.
I see a lot of folks talking about the VSS code and quite a few with similar miles on the bike. Anyway the place I bought it said they could look at it but were backed up for 2 or 3 weeks.....

This is interesting as I am also in NC and looking at getting a Ryker after finishing my MSF class. Keep us dated on your progress.

I'm in Fuquay/Holly Springs and work in RTP... If you guys are in the Raleigh area and want to check mine out and have some questions feel free to drop me a message. I bought 2020 Rally from Team Powersports in Garner Sept '19 and have ~1000 miles on it. Have had no problems thus far and only trip back to the dealership was for the first Oil Change and lug nut swap out.
