Absolutely no reason to not switch to the advantages of synthetic in the Ryker. There is no wet clutch so any automobile synthetic will work fine as long as it meets the viscosity and API ratings.

I do find it odd that nut is aluminum and torqued that high.

Ok, I don’t have a Ryker (yet), but this issue sounds distressing. What would everyone say the percentage of failures is? Are they all destined to crack? It also occurs to me that this could be an aftermarket opportunity. A nut could be fabricated of a more robust material, and replace the stockers...

I will say my wheel nuts were not torqued to near 221 ft. lbs when I got my machine home. That being said, they are at 221 ft. lbs now and will stay that way until BRP advises differently. I would also suggest if you have a warranty claim these wheel nuts better damn well be torqued to specs. After ...

I will have to admit I'm a helmet guy in a non helmet state but damn, I'm sure comfortable in shorts on the Ryker.

When I was doing the Swaybar install I found a nut I didn't remove. Hard to tell but nothing seems out of place. It was down on the frame in front by the skid plate. Silver looking nut.
