Rally radiator stone guard?

#1 Post by Zoot » Sun Mar 03, 2019 6:32 pm

Hello All,
I've been checking out the OEM parts manuals to see if the radiator stone guard used on the Rally could be fitted to the standard Ryker.
It appears that the Rally has a different fascia, but the screen attaches with clips so it might be workable.
Has anyone tried mounting the screen on a standard Ryker front end?

Yes, I have the 600 and purchased the the Protective Steel Grill from the Rally. It fits perfectly.

Can you give us any hints on installation? Did you have to remove the rocker panels before removing the front fascia? Did you use the clips or something else? I assume it fits directly behind the grill bars. I would also like to put a bug screen in there somehow, did you?
Thanks!

2 screws hold the front fascia, located under the radiator.

Then the front fascia comes off by prying on the sides.

It looks real good on the byke! Took all of 10 minutes to accomplish.

I saw your post here to remove the front fascia. Is it just two bolts holding it on underneath? Can you give me an idea where to pry it off. I have to do some surgery to the Ryker myself.

Yes, just 2 screws underneath. Pry from the top corners.
