I have two rulers both with over 1k miles and no issues. So far we have not heard any other issues from anyone else. I hope this is a one time occurrence.

The pins are shown in the two illustrations on page 96 of the owner's manual.

In checking my Ryker, I found all three pins on each wheel. All except one appeared to extend past the inboard side of the brake rotor by about 3/8 inch. One appeared to extend about 1/16 inch farther than the others.

It would be good to know from brp what the optimal measurement of pin extension past the rotor should be.

Safety issue update .
I got a call from the dealer today. He said BRP Engineers were in contact with him. He said they wanted him to call me and have me describe what happened .
He said they were very concerned and working diligently to figure it out. I told him I would be bringing my bike in for a Torque check every 500 mi. and he agreed.

At least we know it made it that far up the ladder. He said he would keep me updated as I will you.

The weather is calling for rain the next 10 days here in Michigan . Yuck !!

Have fun and be safe !

I naively contacted BRP Customer Support to see if it could tell me what the proper measurement is for each of the three wheel pins to extend beyond the inboard surface of the brake rotor. With this measurement a person could determine if the pins were working their way out.

The BRP reply: "Thank you for reaching out to us, we appreciate you taking the time.

As to your request I am going to advise you to reach out to your nearest dealership as they will be able to assist you further.

As you may know, our dealers are best positioned to help you with most of your requests, as they are not only technically knowledgeable, but have a lot of information to hand at the dealership. You can count on them to help make your riding experiences unforgettable!

I am supplying the link for the Can-Am dealer locator below.

In the meantime, if you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Have a great day!"

There you go.

Is this a Ryker issue or a Rally-only issue?

Mine is a Rally, but I believe they use the same setup on all the Rykers.

I think this is Dealer incompetence, nothing else. Buy a torque wench and the socket and check periodically. This design is proven on other vehicles, it's nothing new.

I think what happened is the wheel nut didn't get torqued to the 231 ft. lbs.
Don't you mean in.-lbs.???

It's 221 ft. lbs. I just bought a torque wrench that goes up to 250 ft. lbs. BRP wants $150 for the socket! I am watching for an after market one.

Anyone know of any ?
