difference between 1330 and 900

#1 Post by srx660 » Thu Mar 28, 2019 6:31 pm

Just wondering what differences anyone has noticed between the spyder 1330 engine and the Ryker 900 motor? Enough to NOT think about a 1330 Ryker? Sorry, i get ate up with thinking up these things. LOL

102 miles per hour and faster take off with 900cc

1330 goes 120 but is slower at take off. Nicer seats and twice the cost.

I sat on the Spyder F3 (1330) for comparison. It feels a lot bigger than the Ryker, and somehow unwieldy. Like a 4-door Imperial compared to an old mustang maybe? I'll take the Ryker.
For whatever reason, the F3 gets better fuel mileage. I imagine the CVT is geared lower and winds up more revs. I can say that the Ryker 900 has an amazing 30-60 roll-on!

Well i was wondering if the F3 engine would fit in a Ryker. I know its complicated, BUT - what if( yeah i get kinda crazy at times)

The 1330 Spyders do not have a CVT; just a Semi-Automatic or Manual.

I don't think it would be easy, for sure. The engine is longitudinal in the Ryker, transverse in the F3 for one thing. I guess they might have a common mounting face for the output though.
