Max mount

#1 Post by WifeSaidYes » Wed Jul 24, 2019 6:48 pm

Hi. Got my rally 2 weeks back and had the passenger seat installed. Seems that most of the time, I will riding alone so I was thinking of removing the max mount, including the seat and only install it when I have a passenger.
Does anyone have experience removing the max mount ? Is it easy ?
I found this video from brp:

Also I didn’t receive the trim when no max extension is installed. Is that normal when buying a rally ?

Thanks

Not meant to be taken off and on as the bolt hole threads are aluminum and will wear out ,I would think.
Also I believe the seat comes off with no tools. You can take that off in seconds .The trim piece is not included with a Ryker.
Also, you may want to mount a cargo box or bag in the future.
Also you can always return the rear seat if your not going to use it for other accessories like the tank bag and horns.

Thanks cattleshow - seat comes off without tool but it was more the switch between a single rider (I like the look with no max mount) and 2 riders (wife...)
Someone also pointed out that the rally has a different fender than the non-rally rykers. Would need to buy / install this piece too.
At the end of the day, too much hassle just for the look... I'll keep it as is
