Hit a feral hog on the ryker. Collision around 35 mph. Walked away from it.

Big ole hog ran out in front of me on spicewood springs rd in austin yesterday evening. Was able to slam on the brakes but unfortunately collided with it dead center. Probably a 200-300lb hog.

Wish i was wearing a gopro for the collision because that was some wild sh*t. I nearly fell off the ryker but thankfully didnt. Hood and front plastics are all jacked up, but the radiator seems fine, engine seems fine. Fuse box housing looks damaged but other than that, i was able to ride it back to the garage.

I gotta say having ridden 2 wheels on the street for many years, im thankful i was on three for this one. This would've been a different post had it not been. This has only made me more confident about riding 3 wheels now.

I worry about hitting buzzards down here in FL. They are too dumb to get out of the way. They get out of the way, then at last second change direction, and go right back in you path!

Just joined the forum and happy to hear you weren't hurt. I came within inches of hitting a deer several years ago while ridding a Sportster. That's something I'll never forget!
Purchased my Ryker about 6 weeks ago, and due to it's being in the shop for three weeks getting various driveability issues taken care of, I have only logged about 300 miles.
Where in Austin do you live as I live off of 620 over by Lakeway? I've been looking for other Ryker owners in the Austin area for maybe a get together from time to time.

Sounds Good! I have not seen another Ryker either although I'm pretty sure the local dealership has sold at least 20 or so Rykers so far.

I live off of 71 in Spicewood, very near to you. I ride up to Lakeway Blvd on occasion.

Spicewood, I was hoping that responding to hestonkent might draw some other locals in. Email me when you have a chance.
