You do understand they dyno the vehicles and produce a horse power and torque chart. Guess you really don’t know anything about performance and motorcycles. Please do your research on these things before spewing out nonsense.

Aufgeblssen47 would tell you the dyno is just a placebo effect too.

LOL. I guess you don't realize that acceleration is increased proportional to the SQUARE of the power (simple physics!). So if you have a 10% increase in HP, you'll have a 3% increase in acceleration. Hardly worth spending $500-600!!!

But your engine life will decrease by the full 10% (if not more).

You must be an engineer but an engineer just told me that there is a 10% increase in HP and 3% increase in acceleration which is not a placebo. I may not be an engineer but I know what 10% and 3% mean..

I'm guessing there's a 3% chance you take a girl over a guy home from the bar...

To each their own. If the engine is tuned right, the overall life will not be effected. If someone wants to spend $600 on an exhaust, who cares. I personally won't put that kind of money into my Ryker for that because I want a windshield and a passenger seat but I think it's cool the option is available.

That might be true, if stress vs. strain on metallic parts were linear. But it is not.

Acceleration will also depend on the vehicles power to weight ratio (the new exhaust would drop the vehicles weight), friction (quality of your tires), and many more factors. It's not just simple physics. Using a theoretical formula looks good on paper or a test. As long as they remain in the elastic region of the chart it will be linear, so if proper tuning kept the whatever is being elongated in that region it will be fine. Nice research though. But an increase is an increase as you admitted, whether it's worth the $500-$600 was not part of the discussion and it goes back to what I said earlier on who it matters to.
