First Service

#1 Post by TerryEade » Sat Mar 21, 2020 12:28 pm

The manual says that you should get your first service at 3000 miles, but the dealership said it doesn't need one until 6000 miles. Hard to believe that the dealership would turn down the business, but always leery about not following the manual with regard to required maintenance. Now have about 2,000 miles on my 600 ACE and thought I would ask what other owners have been told by their dealership.

My dealer also said same thing....so I just had my first service after 1 year of ownership and I am at a little over 5000 miles. They were running a reduced service rate for February so I just did it before hitting 6000 miles.

The manual says 1 year or I think it said 6000 which ever comes first on oil change.

Hello,
My dealer told me to return for first oil change at 600 miles. I think I will hold off. This same dealer did not
check off the pre-delivery inspection card when I picked my Ryker up. It had 0.1 miles on it when I took it home.
