Day-long rides...

#1 Post by Frank » Mon Feb 25, 2019 5:46 am

Good day everyone! I'm new here and am looking toward getting a Rally this coming April. I've been riding motorcycles for the past 15 years and I am wondering how's the Ryker WRT comfort on long distance trip.

Is the stock seat any good? Is it better with the comfort seat?

I'm 6'2'' and 180 pounds, can the Ryker be ajuste so I don't feel cramped?

Thanks and ride safe! :D

There is definitely a lot of adjustment that could be made for comfort. I
As for the seats, i switched to the comfort seat. i spent about 2 weeks on the stock on, and i just liked the shape and padding height of the comfort seat

I'm about your size/weight. The Ryker fits me just fine. I have the foot pegs as far forward as they go, and it feels like I'm almost in a standard riding position (which is OK by me). The seat is a seat...everyone has their own opinion. It's OK by me, but I tend to be more tolerant than most.

Frank,
Buy an AirHawk seat cushion and all will be fine. I (at 280 pounds) road a 700 mile day a couple of years ago and no problem. I still use the cushion and it is only around $110.00. Much less than a new seat. Go online and find one.

I'm looking forward to taking a day trip soon. I'll be looking for anyone in the Jacksonville Florida area that would like to get out and ride.

I rode around on the stock 900 seat until my comfort seat came in. The stock seat isn't uncomfortable, but the comfort seat is a definite improvement that I don't regret buying.
