Bought a Ryker!!

#1 Post by snayl135 » Sun Dec 15, 2019 6:29 am

I finally purchased a 2019 ryker rally with just over 400 miles on it used. Yay!! I did something though I never did, I purchased without a test ride. I did ride the Ryker fir my 3WRC but did not test drive this model. The weather here is not good and I dint have much experience to drive around a new machine. So I will take delivery of it and plan on practicing slowly in the neighborhood before going on some back roads.

BUT I’m panicking because my wife took some pictures of it and I’m looking at it and it seems the front wheels are not aligned. Is this a big deal to correct if that’s the case?
I’ll try to submit a picture although I’m hoping it’s just the angle. The dealer said there were no issues with the Ryker and they inspect and test drive used models before purchasing.
I’ll take deliver in about 2 weeks. I’m thinking maybe I’ll have them check the alignment. Any advise? Thanks.

Ryker alignment issue?

It's too hard to tell from that angle, I'm sure it's fine. I have the Rally also and no issues at all so far. Make sure they have replaced the wheel nuts per the recall.

Yeah I think it’s just the angle on the pic. The dealer is aware of the recall and will be replacing the wheel nuts. Waiting is the most difficult now. I had them add the comfort seat, passenger comfort seat with back rest and a windshield. I’ll probably add on sling mods top case when it’s available. Woohoo! Can’t wait! It’s killin’ me 🤪

Well I took delivery of my Rally yesterday evening. All I can say is that all my concerns were alleviated! I took it out for a first ride around the neighborhood then eventually some country roads then through town. OMG this machine is soooooooooo much fun!! I did NOT want to go back home just wanted to keep on riding! What an incredible experience! The Ryker is rock solid and so much fun to maneuver. I feel like I’m driving the bike rather than it taking me for a ride... very responsive. Seems a bit squirly at speed but I think it’s more an issue with me learning it’s quirks and learning to relax a bit on the machine. The lights are more than adequate at night. Wow, I cannot wait until spring here in southern PA, but I plan on doing some winter riding as well as long as the roads are dry and clear.
Thanks for letting me share ;)

Congrats! Just got myself a 900 (non-rally) this week! You won't take long to get on it, baby steps isn't a thing with the Ryker, it's nuts! Love every second of riding it! Enjoy!

I bought my machine December 27th, a new 2020 900 ACE. I really have to get use to riding again but it sure is fun. I definitely found myself not wanting to go home as well.

Got mine yesterday in Concord NC and drove it home to Columbia SC. Awesome drive. Got a 2019 600 demo for a super deal! Dealers are really hurting due to corona. I was the only customer in the dealership for a couple hours. They said business has evaporated. Hope we all get over this soon.

Subsailor, what kind of deal did you get on your demo unit and did it qualify for new vehicle financing and the $750 rebate? Sorry to ask, looking at a 2019 900 demo with under 150 miles for $7999. Dealer charges are messing with my ability to say yes.
I can go private party, I found a 2019 900 with around 700 miles and can purchase for $7700.
Just trying to get the best deal possible. Not sure how much the dealer is willing to haggle on the demo unit. Out here, Corona Virus has made it difficult to get in touch with anyone at the dealer, even during their limited hours.

Mine was a 600 with 200 miles. It was a demo. They wanted exorbitant fees on it but I got it out the door for $8000 cash. I was happy with that as it does come with the full factory warranty.
