Update on my Ryker is the repair was FINALLY made and I was able to pick it up about 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the real fix was as I was told several things fixed it. A very unique and aggravating situation but I can say the customer service rep from BRP was very nice and as helpful as he could be throughout the process. I’ve done about 400 miles and so far so good. I really love this machine and I am hopeful that I will have no more issues.

I am in the mountains of NC and took the MSF class at Caldwell CC, which was very good. We used Ryker's so I am familiar with them and the only concern is how they will do at highway speeds since I live away from everything and every ride will be at least 20 miles. That is not all bad and I look forward to getting a 600 or 900. I rode and for my purposes either will serve fine.

Update I found a certified dealer that will get it in the shop for me this week. From what I have been told so far it is most likely a sensor problem.

I have the Rally version so perhaps the slightly stiffer suspension helps but mine rides smooth... A bit jumpy from time to time but nothing on 2 or 3 wheels will ever be as smooth as a car. Its part of the allure being on a motorcycle. Regarding highway runs, if that is going to be what you are doing, 65+ mph then I would certainly recommend the 900. The extra power for merging, getting out of the way, passing, etc. will be very well worth it over the lesser powered 600 cc. If you were only going to take back roads and never go highway then the choice is yours. Again, if on the highway I would go 900.

Mine is also the 900 rally. Rides well for what it is and passing speed is good. Keep in mind how low to the ground you are though. The wires for the sensors are exposed and could be the reason I am having the issue. I will look into ways to protect them better and see if that keep it from happening again
