I would think with the recent Neuralink talk.. where cilia like nodes are inserted into the brain via a robotic "sewing machine", with the ability to read and write frequency responses between the synapses of the brain we're on our way. I would guess our memories or file storage will eventually be exportable and that our personality and vocal inflections could be learned by the AI aspect of the code written to simulate our human being. That coupled with a self sustainable powered vessel such as a cyborg... we could essentially be considered immortal at that time if the machine had the ability to be repaired by other cyborg's to maintain motor skill operation with unfiltered access to our data log as a human. However, the definition of immortal does relate to the soul.. so if the soul must pertain to the conscious relationship between us and god... then the question becomes what is consciousness? All in all, i've never really thought about it. lol

So if you become a cyborg after death do you get you estate back? And do you still have human rights? So now we must define human.

Is it the physical body with DNA or the compilation of experience and memories?

What happens if you brain is uploaded against your will? Is it a crime? Do you have a case for a civil suit? But if you are not human do you have the right to sue?

So many thought exercises! I think I found a subject for capstone project for my PHD.
