Wheel nut

Wheel nut was mentioned one other place here, but no big response. SAE 2 1/2 is the same as 65mm and cheaper. You can get them at Northern Tool. 22 dollars.

I was just riding along may 8th and herd a bad sound from the rear stop to check it out and my rear tire wheel nut was starting to come off, have any body had this happen .

Huh??? How do SAE threads fit on a metric shaft??? I be totally confused.

He's talking about the wheel nut socket not threads. 65 mm = 2.55 inches so what he is saying is a 2 1/2 socket might work for the wheel nut.

Seems like the only time one would take off a wheel, is having a new tire put on, and the tire shop will handle removing wheel. Even if you order a tire online, IMHO.

Most if not all tire shops will not have this socket available. One should carry this with them.

Went to their website; they have 2 3/8" and 2 5/8", no 2 1/2". Got part #?
