Ryker 900 Rally Edition right peg

My right peg doesn't move after lifting it to adjust it. The dealership claims it to just be "harder to move because its the rally edition" when I took it in for them to check it over. However, I need to use a rubber mallet to move the peg about which defeats the whole tool-less concept. Anyone else has this issue. I'll probably be dropping it back off to the dealership to get fixed.

I don't have a rally, but those pegs take a bit of effort to adjust. However, once they are in place, you don't need to worry about 'em.

I've adjusted the pegs on the other Rykers on the floor, sure they aren't smooth. My left peg moves fine, the right doesn't budge with my full weight behind the pull.

Yikes. Something is certainly wrong there.

My thoughts are that the right side ,being its the brake side ,that they made it have much more tension by design.
You wouldn't want to push the brake extra forceful as say in a panic stop and have the whole unit slid forward.
That would increase your brakeing time when seconds count.
I think its a safety engineering that was well thought out.
just my 2 cents,I could be wrong.

Right, I can understand if there was extra resistance, but that's not the case. Remember can-am boost tool-less adjustments to the pegs and handle bars whenever you need to, just lift to unlock and slide. I am a 30 years old and a Marine veteran as well, so when I say I am attempting to move the peg to adjust it and it doesn't budge there is something wrong. I literally have to hammer peg with a rubber mallet to even inch it forward to back. It's in the shop now being looked at as well as a few other things.

My right peg is much harder to move than the left, but seems like if I cock it a certain way (not always easy to do) it moves easily. Was out riding for about 4hrs last Sunday and moved the pegs a couple of times.

The dealer had to replace the assembly. The original peg was reassembled and it could move, but when they locked it down then unlocked it, it got stuck again. Again this wasn't a "hard to move" type of situation. The peg was literally stuck. The new replacement peg moves smoothly.

I'm glad to hear that you got that worked out.

On one of the demos on Youtube a guy said right pegs are difficult because the weight of the master cylinder binds. He reached under and pushed up on the master cylinder and it slid around fine. I only adjusted mine once (just got it yesterday) but lifting up on the master I didn't have a problem.
