I've been riding all kinds of bikes/trikes for almost 45 years including a Polaris Slingshot, and I've never had insurance, and never once had an issue where having insurance would have been beneficial. Why do you feel you need it?

Not here in FL. Similar to VT; "Live free or die". :D

I did a lot of research when I bought my 600 a couple of months ago. I wound up with Geico. For the basic 10/30, pl and pd with comprehensive it was a tad over 275 per year. I went for 100/300 pl and pd at 330 per year. I know a lot of people will tell you to just get the 10/30 or none at all because your bike can't do much damage to another vehicle should you cause a crash. But,,,,, think about bodily injury to a pedestrian or another rider. Injuries can get expensive and we all work too hard to lose it all.

Keep in mind that is useless unless YOU caused the accident. Personally, I don't plan on causing any. :D

I didn’t plan on hitting the Deer years ago that cost over $300,000 in med bills not counting the totaled bike I was on. But sure glad I had Ins to cover this accident that
“I didn’t cause”. Having no Ins just because your state does not make you have it is just an excuse to be cheap and shows you have no respect for the individual you might injure or damage their property. Juvenile excuse.
