I wonder if there is a fuse you can pull to take the VSS completely out of the picture? Probably throw a code and not run at all then.

Cornering to the left, the throttle will pull away from your right hand, just like an ATV. Got my socket from Northern in the mail today. I Retorqued my wheels and it didn't even take the paint off the nuts ,worked great . Sitting on both at the dealership the Rally seat is far more comfortable for me, but I ordered the Comfort seat as well. The rally seat has more of a defined rear support also.

Someone had posted that there was a factory protective plastic cover of some sorts over the radiator that some dealers were forgetting to remove before delivery. You might check that.
