I do find it odd that nut is aluminum and torqued that high. I agree, while they may be capable of that much torque when tightening, what kind of pressure are they seeing when the wheel/ axles start expanding from heat? Perhaps an Acme thread would work better than a angle thread, it would have les...

Those with wheels falling off and nuts cracking are following Can Ams specs, or so they claim, mine has over 3500 miles and my wheels are still fine, you do it your way and I will do it mine.

I will check mine and tighten only as much as I feel it needs to be secure. That would be foolish Lol You guys know nothing of my expertise or experience, the nuts are being over stressed either from heat expansion or tightening beyond its capabilities. If Can Am recalls the nuts I will have it rep...

I have to wonder how many of these are being torqued too tight? Are guys including dealers just tightening these by hand using a breaker bar because they don't have the right wrench? 221 ft lbs is a lot, does it really require that much torque? I will check mine and tighten only as much as I feel it...
