Re: LED headlight swap

Beamtech H4 LED's, work great, lots of folks using them on Ryker's Same here. A lot cheaper and no fans to worry about, like some. Of course, I had to remove the headlights to install the bulbs because I just didn't have enough clearance with the new bulbs. Funny thing is that my son-in-law replace...

Re: WHY Does The Ryker Get such POOR MPG???

Actually, it's called US RT 129. You can call it anything you wish, but the map and the road sign tells you Rt 129. Nuff said.

There are no fans on those Beamtech LEDs, but there is a large heatsink.

Re: LED Headlights

Or get them much cheaper at amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XHD78DQ Yep, those are the ones I used on my Rally. But, I had to take the headlights out to install the new bulbs. Yes, I could get the old ones out without removing the whole light fixture, but getting the new ones in did no...

Re: tail light and rear fender removal?

Yep, I replaced my rear fender and yes I did have to remove the whole tail light and drill out the rivet to take the old fender off before installing a new FULL fender.

Re: WHY Does The Ryker Get such POOR MPG???

What difference does it make? Anyone that has ever been there will know exactly what you are saying. Some say Budweiser and some say "Bud." At any rate, you won't burn up gas attempting to speed on that winding road. Lucky to drive it at 35mph. Anyone that wants gas mileage should purchase a moped o...

Re: WHY Does The Ryker Get such POOR MPG???

I have both. i need the power to climb mountains here, so im ok with the crappy fuel econony. in a month and a half put 700 miles on it and usually 6 bucks a week of 93 keeps it happy for the 8 mile trip to work and back again. My scooter gets 100 mpg but it was never designed for mountains so its ...

Re: WHY Does The Ryker Get such POOR MPG???

High RPMs and high spurts of speed will kill fuel economy. It's a CVT and does not have gearing to give you the fuel economy that you wish for. My Harley Softail gets fuel mileage in the 40's and would probably get better IF I had a sixth gear like newer models. My Ryker is rated at higher horse pow...

Re: Battery tender?

I would suggest any Battery Tender that has a maintainer mode. A computer chip will keep tabs on your battery and maintain enough a periodic charge to keep your battery at the optimum voltage. They also have a desulfator programed in that will keep the battery in good shape. I have used the Brand "B...

Re: Helmet ?

Although helmets are not required in Florida, I still own something like seven helmets. I really don't like any of them but favor what I call a little eggshell skull cap that I picked up in Thailand and a Leather covered legal helmet without a face shield. I keep my other helmets in case I have a vi...
