Blue Ridge

#11 Post by Zz005zZ » Wed Nov 28, 2018 4:38 am

Hi all, my name is Brian from Blue Ridge, Georgia. I have wanted a spyder forever.. then dropped a honda shadow.. two weeks later.. ( still healing) I saw the Ryker add. I swear it was subliminal. Wife and I made a pact that if I received my promotion I could get a ryker as it was much more affordable. Well I landed promotion and after winter... (April, May ) I will buy a rally edition. Going for comfort driver and passenger, and lighting addons as I work overnights. 38 years old just doesn't heal like 18...

I'm so thankful this forum has started. I live in Idaho and looking into getting the Rally, we have some great roads that the Rally should do very well on. I look forward in sharing info about Ryker's on this site. My name is David and I had a Spyder F3 and now wanting to get back on 3 wheels.

Craig here from Long Island. Looking forward to picking up a Ryker. I went to my local shop on Saturday and sat on one. Very comfortable seating position, especially as I had concern, being over 6' tall. The quick adjusts work as advertised and I was straight armed out, and mostly feet forward. The controls are simple enough. I wasn't able to take a test ride yet, as the front plastic had been damaged during transport to the shop, but new bits were on order.

Right now, I'm just trying to decide between standard and Rally. Either way, it's the Rotax 900 for me.

HI, my nickname is Buffy. I have preordered my Ryker, and now waiting for delivery. A little disappointed in the uncertainty of delivery at this point though- no one seems to be able to give us any definitive answers. I ordered the 900. We have Harleys- I am selling my Harley and making the Ryker my primary bike.
I am in North Texas and hope to meet other Ryker riders soon.

Hi, i am a ryker owner as of Dec14. I bought the standard 900 model with the black body accent covers since i will probably repaint the trike in some kind of Kandy color. On the way home from the dealers shop i decided to take a long detour to the house. 54 miles later i find it a different and interesting type of ride. I have always had a motorcycle since i was 17 years old. I am now 69 years old, still have some motorcycles, am building my own style of reverse trike in my garage. Since it will probably take me a few years to build my trike i thought the Ryker was perfect to get me triking now, and use the Ryker to see where i can upgrade my personal trike even better than the Ryker.

Here in florida my Ryker ended up with a total price of 11,800 USD. The trike was $999.00. Still a lot less than the Spyder. Already there's some things i like and some i don't about the Ryker. I will be changing things as i go along. I just can't leave things stock on any vehicle i own. It's just the way i am.
Since i am a Admin to a reverse trikes forum, I invite everyone to come see what we have on our forum. The forum is here:

Thanks for allowing me to join this forum.

Hi All,

My name is Jay. I'm 48, and I live in the Maryland suburbs of DC. I'm looking to pick up a Ryker 900 in the spring or summer of next year. I'm a new rider, like... a total noob. I've only ever been a passenger on a motorcycle, and that was when I was a kid. I was never interested in two-wheelers, honestly. I kind of like to stand out and when I first saw ads for the Ryker, I was immediately hooked by its looks. I'm signed up for a Can-Am sponsored 3-wheel riding course in April, then I will get my 3-wheel license right away with the endorsement I would earn by passing it.

Anyway, I am looking forward to getting in on the community from the ground floor and I am glad to have found this forum.

Cheers,
Jay

Hi! I'm RykerRyder. Two weeks I take my first ride. Hoping to get the best fit for me. Love to ride, at 63 and a couple of surgeries time to move to three wheels. Will be trading last of my older bikes in for this, should make the runs more fun and maybe a little less painfull.

Hello from Texas . Name is Dennis and am a real motorcycleist meaning I love them all. Owning and riding many bramds since 1959. YIKS, I may be getting old.
I'm done with large touring bikes because I have this wonderful new metal hip .Curently riding a Suz -Burgman 650 Execative. Ive recently discovered the Ryker and its burned in my brain. I think it messed up my DNA. Short story--I want one . It is sooooooooonice. I am so impressed by mechanical minds in Canada.
I'm saving and sceeming for one of my own. I'll may even have to tap into my sons wallets to put me over the top.LOL.
(I'll be back) Dennis

Hello from Indiana. My name is Scott and I have been riding most of my life. But due to a recent accident my riding days had ended. Then I seen the ryker with it’s automatic transmission and adjustable foot pegs and I wanted one. I can’t wait to get my 900 rally so I can ride again .

Scott, that's really good news, I also was an avid rider and sold my bike due to medical reasons I won't go into here. I also am looking into purchasing a Ryker Rally model, just as soon as I have enough saved up. Cheers /Joe
